Renata 's ramblings!!

Friday, June 27, 2008

This is my 100th post - hard to believe 100 of them (especially since I only started in March), but this is it! So I thought what should I do for this blog - I've seen people do 100 facts about themselves, but that is way tooo boring about me (& too much effort today), & then I thought what about a giveaway? But I really don't have anything worth giving away. So instead I thought I would ramble on about nothing important.
Today I have the flu - that may account for my nonsense - that's right, sore legs, sore tummy, diahorrea & vomity type of flu. The kind where I had to literally drag myself from my bed to get Zai to the bus on time and once I was back home I plopped back into bed & promptly fell asleep. I must admit on waking an hour later, I didn't know what to expect because seriously, who (but a sick mother ) gives free range of the house (they couldn't get outside) to two 2 year olds & a 4 year old. Fortunately Ellie is a good girl & rarely gets into anything she's not supposed to, & the only thing the twins had gotten into was the hair gel - they came in & said "hair, hair, mummy" - they were so proud of themselves for doing their own hair ( unfortunately the gel is so thick, it is going to take a double shampoo to remove it). So here are some pictures of them with their new hairdoos:Jud (above) & Eli thought they looked quite spiffy!
And here they are playing their current favourite game "cars"! Eli is always the driver "dad" & Ellie & Jud are the babies - very cute!
I think half a tub of hair gel is definitely worth an extra hours sleep - especially when I'm feeling like this!!

Hi Narn,
Too bad about feeling sick, cos I am too!!!! Yes, I am still not over this lovely flu you gave me although I think it has developed into something else, at least I'm off work at present (they told me they don't want to catch it themselves, very thoughtful of them). The twinnies are so cute, perhaps they might become hairdressers, at least they haven't cut each others hair, unlike their older siblings.\
Anyway, I am rambling too, give all the kiddies a hug for me,
love
Aunty Sel

Oh I hope you get over the 'flu soon. We had it a few weeks back and it wasn't nice at all.

I think you should send the bucket-pushing calf to funniest home videos. They can always use some fresh ones.

I feel so bad that you're sick! It sounds crazy, but Coca Cola (full-strength, not diet) always makes my stomach feel better. Something I learned from my Grandma. No idea why it works, but it does. Or perhaps I just like any excuse to drink more Coke. Hmmmm....

I thought the cars game was so cute and clever! I actually thought I might suggest it to my girls, because it would keep them occupied for awhile.

Feel better soon :)

Hi Renata, sorry that you have the flu. What creative hair styles the twins are sporting! Congrats on your 100th blog. It has been a fantastic way to keep in up-to-date with you and the fam. Lots of love, hugs and kisses. Miss you all heaps. Kylie (and family)
