When we moved to this farm, the gardens were all dreadfully run down. 8 years of drought doesn't give much water to play with. Thankfully my in-laws were down & are great gardeners & always motivate me to do something in the garden (without them it was just too overwhelming). So here are some pics of how the garden now looks .... I planted, lavender, roses & rosemary in the above garden (the established plants were the ones that survived previously).
Here is the front area - I've transplanted the closest plant & another one (you can barely see it).My aim is drought resistant, but pretty as well.
Now I just have about an acre of gardens left to do!!!!

Your garden is lovely, with minimum water restrictions here our gardens planning is much easier, I feel sorry for farmers who have to make the decision where every drop used for gardening is one drop less for crops, but you cant have all fields of crops though can you. Looks like yours will be very happy though, very drought hardy!

This is a beautiful garden Renata! I LOVE lavender, and rosemary too. They are both really hardy and should do well. Great job; I find no time at all for gardening at them moment which at times is depressing! It's just a season, I know. Once Will is a little bigger I'll be back out there with bells on! At least we've had great broccoli this year. :)

It looks lovely! I'm having trouble with our vegetable garden because the weeds are taking over everything, and the rabbits have eaten all of my green beans! Aarrghhh!
Your garden looks great. I love lavender, it will smell lovely when it's flowering. Are you growing any roses? (The ones you had growing in Qld were beautiful).
Wow, your garden looks so cute - certainly better then when I last saw it!!! lol. Was that actually GREEN grass that I saw in the yard??? Awwwww, the chickens are sooooo cute in all the pics...what happened to poor ellie's head - i hope you havent resorted to knocking her out to get her to sleep??? ;-)

The garden looks great. It will look realy good in spring. A good follow-up of rain will help it along.
