Aren't these just the cutest - our newest additions - 5 white dorset (1st cross) lambs!! A family from our church gave them to us as they had 16 - but they've already bought them through the difficult time - they're onto 2 feeds a day only!!!
I don't think they've seen children before as they were a little afraid of these "little people". (The family only have older children.) They loved me though!!
They sure are cuddly!
Of course Whitey followed me around until I took his pic as well!!

Renata, I don't know how you do it! How do you find time to care for 4 little ones, as well as all these beautiful animals? I take my hat off to you, you are amazing!!! :)
Beautiful little lambs, they are adorable. Your children are surely blessed to be growing up surrounded by such beauty!

Your question..... Charlotte Mason was indeed a homeschool writer and teacher. She lived in the Lakes District in England, and is renowned for her particular style of schooling children. From memory, she actually trained teachers for her school in the 1800's. The book I mentioned by Karen Andreola explores her philosophies, and is a fantastic read for both homeschool families and those who's children attend school. It's a beautiful Christian, old-fashioned book. It explores such things as family/home atmosphere, training of children, developing a love of learning, nature study, music/art study, etc. It's inspiring, and I'd highly recommend reading it if you ever get the chance! It's one I pick up again and again as it keeps me on track and focused in many ways.

The picture of Ellie carrying the lamb is priceless! I miss living out in the country, especially when I see pictures like these. Hopefully someday when my hubby retires from the Navy.

How gorgeous!!! Ellie looks so cute (as per usual). Nity can't come down til the holidays to be your farm-hand - sorry, but school has to come first! (I know I'm a spoil sport) Give all the littlies a big hug (the kid ones - not the lambs and Whitey)
Love you all xxxxxxxxxxxxx

The lamb are so cute, love the picture of Whitey...I'd have to say that one is my favorite...well beside the lamb squeezing one.
