Of hearing tests... & soft serves....& normal life!

Yesterday I had to take Eli & Jud to a city an hour away for their audiology appointments. I went with trepidation as at each other test they've had (although they haven't had one for a year) they had a lot of trouble understanding what they were meant to do & consequently failed them. This time they got it first go... & the results...NORMAL...praise God - there's nothing wrong with their hearing!!!!

I always get quite tired after driving that far, so I'm now wondering what possessed me today to go to another town also an hour away - I think it was the lure of the brand new Aldi there - now I love Aldi - I love the fact that I can save money with just a tiny bit more effort on my part. The kids were excited to go to that town because they also have a brand new McDonalds!! - something that they haven't had for ages either - the lure of a happy meal & soft serve got their consent to the trip (not that I needed that, but it's always nice to have co-operation)! As you can see, they really enjoyed it!!

Aldi was great as well - I piled the trolley & it only came to $155 !!YAY!!!!

So now I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight after all that driving - & as for tomorrow, well who know's what adventures will await us!!

I cried the moment the Audiologist told me my daughter's hearing was "normal" and she wouldn't need any assistive devices. Praise God I know how you feel and am thrilled. Cat has a similar story about her little one. Check her Friday 5 out.

$155 US dollars?

I'm glad the testing went well.

I'm so glad the boys' hearing tests were normal! They look like they really enjoyed their ice cream. Very cute pics.

Christine,
It's in Aussie dollars - which at the moment is dreadful against the US$.
An full trolley of groceries normally costs me over $230 here - groceries are dreadfully expensive.

Glad to hear the hearing test results were normal - one things less to worry about.

I like Aldi, and we were very excited when one opened in our area a couple years ago. (And groceries really are dreadfully expensive. I can spend $50 just on bread, milk and fruit.)

Hi, Renata. I love Aldi too. I usually spend $200 a week there compared to over $300 at our local Woolies or Coles.( I do have to go to a supermarket to get the stuff I can't get at Aldi but it is still sooo much cheaper. Did you here Costco is coming to Australia? I hope it comes to Wollongong . I will be there all the time. Anyway glad your kids hearing is fine.
