Snowy.... Frosty... Pavlova... Marshmallow... Puppy... Puppy...Clouds...Avogadro....

Well anyway - our new puppy (Name as of yet to be debated, decided, re debated & re decided - both twins wanted 'puppy', but we'll see...):

He is a Mareema pup - they grow to about the size of a Lab, but at the moment he is such a little ball of fluff - & oh so cute!!!

We've been so long (well a year is a long time for us!) without a dog because we've been researching on what type would suit us - we never, ever, ever want to shoot a dog again (we've had many, many many tears...). Mareemas are a type of dog that "guards" stock - they are very fast & will kill foxes & wild dogs. They are also able to be domesticated, & are quite a placid dog (well unless you're a fox) but they do need a job otherwise will become destructive - thankfully we have our little 'herd' (& I don't mean the kids here - LOL) that he's already getting acquainted with - well that is when he can be bothered moving from a spot in the sun!!!

It's lovely having another 'baby' around!!!

What a cute, fluffy little 'baby'. (My little cousin once had a large black lab called Puppy.)

guess who said...

if its anything like our favourite lab rachie it'l deserve a name like vacuous !!!!
but it is cute - and the moving from the sun seems to be a great big job for any dog. is he indoors or out?? - at least he has a fur coat!!!!

I have been strong in my "no puppy yet" stance but that little one is putting me on shaky ground. He's adorable, congratulations on your new little 'baby'.

Oh, what a cute little ball of fluff. I could easily be sucked into a puppy like yours. Too adorable Renata.

Enjoy and may the foxes be notified that there is a new dog in charge. ;-)

He is so sweet! I am laughing about the puppy names...I took our pup to the vet yesterday, and her name has changed since we were there last month. We settled on "Rosie", but she is still called "Elliot", "Binnamon", and "Wellington", as well as "Puppy".....as is she isn't confused enough with all these kids running around...
