Queensland - summer's arrived already

Monday, August 17, 2009

Or so it feels. Since arriving the weather has been absolutely beautiful - in fact it's so warm that I'm sitting here sweating (today is meant to be 29 degrees Celsius - not bad for a winter's day!!). It seems that we are going to be here a little longer than originally thought due to a medical need of one of the children (what was meant to be a checkup for a problem kinda snowballed - anyway the specialist wants to see him next week again, so no going home this weekend as originally planned). I guess I'm feeling a bit down about it all today - none the less we are having a lovely visit with family & friends & enjoying being completely spoilt (besides the beautiful weather - can't believe the kids were swimming last week!! - poor Dave left down in the freezing cold!!)
Sorry for the lack of pictures, but I really don't know how to use Mum & Dad's computer properly!
Hope you're going well!!!

I hope the medical problem is quickly resolved! I'll pray for you. Enjoy your break (or try to, anyway) :)

Ahhh, you've turned into a southerner, 29 is cold still! Up this far it has been beautiful weather for winter. It's starting to heat up a bit too much though :(

Hope everything gets sorted out with the docs and you get to go home to Dave soon.

Hope Dave isn't missing you all too much. Hope things are easily resolved with the docs. How's your Dad? Katie was asking the other day :)
Glad you are enjoying the weather. It's been so very pleasant. Take care.

I do hope that the joey with the medical issue isn't at all serious....I hope everything is top hole.

Can you tell I'm trying to talk like an Aussie?? Ha, I'm probably making an absolute mess of it, but I want to try, in honor of you, my friend!

Be at peace this night, and if you need anything at all (moral support, prayers, tears, talks) email me!

Talk soon!

tally ho!

It's good to hear from you. I'm sorry to hear you've had a bit of a shock with one of your little ones. I pray they caught the issue in time and it's able to be solved easily. My heart goes out to you as a mom. It's never easy to see our little ones hurting.
Hugs to you all.

29c is starting to get too warm for me! (It was 18c here a few days ago and we all thought it was lovely summer weather. Then the next day was 8c!)

Hope all is well by now with your little boy.
