For Monday 12th October 2009:

Outside my window...

The sky is overcast & there's a wind blowing. We've had 5ml of rain so far & hoping for more. The sun is trying desperately to peek through the clouds for one last time before dusk.

I am thinking...

About Saminda's new place - seriously I am so excited for you Saminda it looks beautiful & I can't get it off my mind!! I've also been thinking about "Do babies go to heaven?" as I wrote a reply to a discussion started by a good friend of ours & I'm hoping that I'm brave enough to email it because otherwise it would be hours worth of work wasted.

I am thankful...

For safety over the weekend & for fantastic bible teaching from the speaker at church camp. That we do live in a beautiful part of the world that's only 2 1/2 hrs from the capital city that is just sooo... beautiful in spring!

From the learning rooms...

All formal learning is on holidays, but the children just keep on learning anyway. They want to make a "rocky dog" that they found in a craft book, so they are currently outside collecting just the right shaped rocks.

From the kitchen...

Chocolate weetbix slice because I had the end of a box of weetbix to use up. Nat's famous banana cake - one of my best friends has this fantastic recipe!! YUM! It's made 2 cakes so I'm either going to have to freeze one or give it away!

I am wearing...

Clothes...yep good thing too!!!LOL Actually blue jeans, maroon shirt & casual grey fleecy jacket. Farm clothes!

I am creating...

Order to my pile of washing. Why does it seem that when you go away the washing just multiplies upon returning!

I am going...

To hang out another load of washing...sound crazy, well in the light rain we've been having I have this theory that the wind dries it quicker than the rain wets it, so it's worth hanging out - I hate using my drier because it's so expensive.

I am reading...

My bible!

California Chances - a 3 in one novel from heartsongs

For the children's sake ...still

I am hoping...

To get my house organised after a crazy day with the children!

I am hearing...

The wind whistling through the tiny crack I've left the window open. Also the happy sounds of children's voices!

Around the house...

Dave will arrive home any minute & we'll start the evening routine! Dinner is sorted & we'll eat around 6:30pm then cleanup, bath & beds for children & then finish the cleaning & relax for us!

One of my favourite things...

Gardening!! If you look at the gardens here you wouldn't believe it, but I've put many hours into them (thankfully now I have water from a dam to help!). Today I planted more tomato plants I got on clearance yesterday!! I also hope to plant a whole heap of seeds I have sitting here!

A few plans for the rest of the week...
I'm planning to start schoolwork again tomorrow (although it doesn't feel like we've really had a holiday!). I hope to get some more curtains made. More gardening & just plain old home duties. I do need to go to town some day this week as well.

Here is a picture for thought I am sharing...

Guess where we visited while in Canberra?!?!?!

Hey Narn,
Lovely daybook!! Glad you got to see the flowers, your picture is nice. I have just finished gardening today too!! I planted lots of snowpeas and climbing beans and lettuces, and I transplanted a few tomatoes and capsicums, all in my new garden bed I have just finished digging.
Have a great day,

Glad you got to see Floriade! The photo is very pretty.

I do believe babies go to heaven. I didn't even realise there was anything to discuss about that issue?

Hope you get some more rain. We are visiting family at the moment, and they have had more rain in the last 3 days than we've had in the last 3 years!!!

I love these daybook posts of yours!! Makes me feel like we're really neighbours. :) Which by the way would be SO nice!!
Thanks so much for the thoughts and encouragement Renata- yes, our new home is beautiful and I'm so thankful because I never ever thought we'd get on land this move. Maybe 5 years down the track, but not yet.... BUT!!! God can do anything, right?! He has provided us with this home and I cannot wait to move in and start living my country dream! (well, as much as possible on 3 acres but I reckon that will be enough land for us!).
Much love,
Saminda xoxo

What a pretty picture! I'm curious about the rocky dog. My kids love rocks, so they would enjoy a craft that uses them. When the kids are done with theirs, I'd like to see a pic!

Hi Narn, Glad to see you got to Floriade - isn't it gorgeous - I must take Granny down there next year!!!
thanks for sharing your day with us What a busy girl you are!!
By the way, thinking through the big questions and expressing them is NOT time wasted - God gave us minds to think with. Please see my email for more on this one!!! Like I said in it, as Christians we should think about theology. Read and work through Millard Erikson's "Christian Theology" over a couple of years, (but that's in addition to reading your Bible - not instead of!!!!), and you'll get a good hand on what you do believe...
Hope you get the washing caught up and dry and then get plenty of rain!!!
Give all the lovelies hugs & kisses from Mum xxxxxxx
Lots and lots of love
