Farm dog!

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

You know you live on a farm when you find lying under your washing line bones that look like this:

Our vicious (insert cuddly), scary (insert friendly) watch dog spends his days guarding the house...

...well the little bit that's closest to the water tank..

...all in a days work for a farm dog (& his right hand cat)!

Snowy and the cat look like they've found a good place to keep cool.
Curious, what animal would those bones be from? They look like back bones. A possum?

Is he hiding behind his right hand cat? Too sweet. Looks like you not only got a cute one, but a sweet one at that.

Sandy,
They are almost sure to be from a dead sheep. Finding bones around the farm isn't unusual, but it's finding them under my washing line I don't like!

Have you ever thought about lying up against the water tank to cool down on those hot days???? What about putting the kids there? lol!!!!
Think about the gift (sorry bones) from a dog's point of view - when you're outside (ie you - Renata), where do you spend most of your time???????? At the clothes line??? Makes sense - he thinks bones are amazing things and he wants to give you a gift - where's he going to put it?? Why under the clothes line of course!!! ha ha - anyway they look very cute guarding the farm for you.
Lots of love

That's so cute how they're taking a little siesta together.

I have to say that if I found those bones by my clothesline, I'd be more than a little bit freaked! You're braver than me :)

I was just going to ask what kind of bones those might be. I have a dead animal stuck in the wall of my kitchen. The pest man can't get it out and we're not having fun with what follows. YUCK! Makes me sick. COMPLETELY SICK!

Has to restore his energy so he can be out and at it all night long!!!

Our dog likes to bring us "gifts" too. The big bad gentle giant of a dog has a shoe fetish!! He likes the neighbor guy's shoes! Its an expensive habit to say the least.

I like the white bones better than the ones with 'bits' on them. There is a cow in our next doors gully or should I say ex cow and should I saw that parts of it are in the gully and parts of it are over our yard.

You puppy looks adorable, a real sook.
