Once upon a time you get a baby..

..who's so little & cute...

...he absolutely steals your heart.

He thinks you're his mother & follows you around...

...looking for any attention you are willing to give him.

You feed & watch him grow.

Sometimes he's a little too attached...

You make sure he is well cared for...

...you make sure he is never lonely...

...sometimes with silly friends...

..... he thinks he's one of the family... and you put off the inevitable...

...sometimes he pushes you towards what must be decided...

...and then it's time to push him from the nest....
...sometimes it's a 6 km drove....

... when he looses direction you must redirect...

...until finally he's as far as you can take him...

Goodbye Whitey, Robert, Blackie & Strawberry.
I'll miss you Whitey (sob, sob).
Love your Mama Moo-a

Awww Renata - please receive my virtual hugs!!!

I am so sorry that you had to let them go :( I cannot have pets specially not with this missionary life of ours because I get really attached, I can only imagine the way you feel, I am with you.

Hope God meets you in the middle of this sad moment and spoils you rotten.

Kisses and Hugs♥

Gut wrenching isnt it. Especially when they are been loaded in the back of the truck headed for the butcher. {choke, sob}

Renata said...

Sande, they went to market - most probably to the butcher.

Yep! If I had to produce my own food I'd be a vegetarian. I used to pass the meatworks on my way to work and sometimes I'd see one of the animals make a break and run for it. I wanted to yell out my window,
"Run Daisy/Strawberry/whoever! Run!"

Oh Narn,
I feel so sad for you!!! Although, if anything got into my garden they probably would have been long gone... Last night Rachy was so scared from fireworks, he made us all want to cry, and Nita had to give dog therapy to him..
Well, only 13 days til Nita and I visit, we are all booked!!
luv

Hi Renata,

I am really enjoying your blog. This is great! Kinda like a pen-friend in the old days of primary school, but much more entertaining. I really love your honesty and sense of humour!

Hi (I'm new to your blog) - I grew up on a farm and not only did our cattle go to market (or to the local butcher) to be turned into meat - a few months later a lovely cow hide would appear on the floor!! We could tell from the markings on the mat which cow we were sitting on!!!!
