A musical interlude...

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

I sit here listening to the 2009 winners of the Australian country music awards CD...so enjoyable & so much talent (I love, love, love country music ~ my favorite is blue grass, but I enjoy most any kind really ~ as long as it's clean & has good morals ~ I'm a words person when it comes to the songs I like)!  I borrowed it from the library today & enjoyed this song so much I just wanted to share because I hope it will bring a smile to your face (plus then I'll be able to remember it when I have to return the CD next month!). Zai today said "imagine if the world didn't have libraries" - well I know our family would be lost even though we have enough books we have our own library - we love our weekly trips!
(You are going to have to go down to the bottom of the page & pause my blog music ~ sorry about that)
Enjoy...

I've been singing it in my head all evening... after putting 4 little freshly washed children to bed then braving the dark to  feed our  lambies by the light of the camping lamp that has been seconded for farm work on those evenings where we've been in town too late to catch the end of the daylight. Then wading through a little pack of wooly bodies and making my way down to the chook shed admiring the enormously full moon hovering over the far side of our valley while I scattered our Sunnyside grown barley to the hungry flock.  Is there anything nicer than a moonlight walk in the paddocks  on a night warm enough to make you remember spring is almost here, while serenading the world followed by a pack of sweet young admirers that for a short time each year make you understand what the movie stars have to put up with?

I'm so glad we chose to have kids... toys, bikes, noise, paintings on the fridge, dirty faces & all!
How about you?

Have a happy day

Hello My Friend...
Is it just me or having I been missing all your postings... : ) Well we have been having issues with our Bandwidth...Where we live we don't have high speed internet and we are on Satellite and only are allowed a certain amount of Download and Upload...Well since I started my blog I have to upload A LOT of photos and so therefore we got a RED flag and note saying we have just done WEB ABUSE... I know it sounds bad doesn't it... I exceeded are upload and have been finding myself LIVING at Starbucks...WELL my computer just crashed the other day and we were trying to get that back up..Thankfully I had a friend help me get some quick post up....Well we just got are Bandwidth back...HOORAY!!! I know that was a long explanation...It is good to see you...and I pray that when Spring does arrive for you that it will be VERY blessed...
Blessings

I just loved this song and the video! I was just about in hysterics with some of the lines - the caravan in Yamba and the paintings on the fridge. What an amazing songwriter. You know they have an annual bluegrass festival here? I recently walked past the McClymonts when they were signing autographs. They are really as tall as they look in their videos and they seemed really friendly as they chatted away to their fans.
Thanks for sharing this video Renata. It made my day. I'm going to share it on my Facebook page later!

Wow - the Aunties LOVE IT - especially aunty Sel & Cor!!!!!!!!!!!! Just can't stop them singing it - they want to know where their big sister picked up such amazing taste in music.
Aunty Cor is wishing they could enter that song in Eurovision next year, cos then she could sing it legitimately!!!! Lots and lots of love Narn,

WOW Narn - you have successfully brought to our attention how Eurovision is the best and most intellectual of all music anyone in the family listens to!!!
