...or so Zai will tell it.
I always get amused at the humility of a 6 year old boy as he describes his "amazing" feats.
Zai insisted on wearing number 22 - the same as last year!
Last weekend was the auskick carnival - this is one of the only chances Zai's auskick team gets to play against other teams (due to being in an considerably isolated location) & it is much anticipated in this household - in fact he's been counting down since it was announced a month ago!!

Zai did some great kicking!
Anyway, ask my little guy & he'll tell you that he & his teammates played like true champions... truly, listening to him would make you think that surely there must have been selectors on the sidelines just waiting to sign them up as they came off the field!!!LOL He will enthrall (well maybe that's a slight sarcastic) you with the strength of the tackles, the height of the kicks & the GOAL HE SCORED!!! (Actually he did!)
Actually in truth he did very well... for a 6 year old boy! He isn't afraid to tackle (which isn't surprising with living in this household full of all things male - & that includes endless amounts of wrestling. He did some good kicks (must be all that practise with Mum!!!) and he followed the ball around the whole time during the four games (unlike some of his teammates that had had enough & decided that playing "ring a rosy" around the goal posts was more fun!!!- I think watching 5 & 6 year olds play is hilarious!!) In the last game Zai actually scored a goal & he was so very excited about that!
I love this pic of Jud & Dave (although it's not the most flattering angle for Dave)
The other thing I find amazing is that after sitting on the sidelines for a day, it's the parents that are COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED when you arrive home - how tiring sitting around chatting is - glad I don't usually have much time to do a lot of that!!!
You'll always be a superstar in your mummy's eyes!
