...just for a little while!
After 15 weeks straight of schooling ( we worked diligently through the normal school holidays as we've planned this trip for a while - one of the perks of home schooling!), we've earnt a holiday & this afternoon we are celebrating our holidays finally arriving...(I did make Zai do his dreaded maths test today - at least it's over now!)
My Mum's come down & we're packing up the kids & heading of for greener (well not greener as it's lovely & green here at the moment) anyway.. warmer pastures tomorrow! We're going up to sunny Queensland to visit all of our family & friends & leaving poor Dave here with all the jobs...
I thought I'd just show you a snapshot (OK I know lots of photos, but I promise not too much writing) of our day today!
The sunrise this morning was just lovely!
One of my treasures I found in "treasure forest" was this old half pint milk bottle - it now sits pride of place on our dining table..
Snowy had a bath today & since Mum was here she could get pikkies - he sure is growing & LOVED his bath.
My broccoli has gone straight to flowering - in tiny clusters - I don't know what I've done wrong, but they sure are pretty anyway!
We went for a walk & the kids rode their bikes - they're lined up here for a race!
(Notice Ellie now has no training wheels - Dave took them off Saturday night & it took her about an hour to pick up the technique!)
First blossoms of spring on the peach tree up the back - I guess by the time we get back it will be covered!
Just some fun photos from our walk...
Snowy...looking nice & clean & fluffy!
Little Miss didn't want her pikkie taken - I managed to capture one anyway - love the expression!
Rolling in the greenery... (makes you wish you were younger!)
We had to show Grandma our "lambies" of course - named Chocolate Chip & Chocolate Bit (thanks for all the great suggestions).
Thanks Grandma for visiting!
The moon rising over Sunnyside - the end to a great day!
Hope you have a nice couple of weeks - I should be able to check comments, but don't think I'll be able to blog.

If you're friends & wondering why I haven't called you, I'm staying at my parents - but will try ringing around when we get up there to organise getting together!

Love your photos as always.
Have a great holiday!
Congratulations Ellie on ditching the training wheels!
I love your peach blossom picture! They are such pretty flowers but even if we got a peach tree to survive up here we'd never get flowers or fruit.
Enjoy being back in Qld for a bit. Hope you get some sunshine and warmth while your visiting!
That is some beautiful country. I would LOVE to come and visit you someday. :) You can visit me as well.
My broccoli flowered too! I don't get it.
I love the pretty little milk bottle with flowers in!
You'll be missed! I hope you have a wonderful time away. Love all your pictures and updates! I wish I looked that good when I didn't want my pic taken. Heck, I wish I looked that good when I did want it taken. LOL!
Hi Renata;
Hope you ALL enjoy your holiday! (teachers of homeschool need holidays!)
I don't have any clue about broccoli...but it does look like a mustard plant that grows in my garden. (?) Once I planted what I thought was brussel sprouts, only to be surprised to see celery. Go figure.
big hug ...and I am so proud of you homeschooling. You go sweet girlfriend.

Have a WONDERFUL time, Renata!! I bet you can't wait to see your family and friends up here. :) Funny, you'll be so close to me! Great job getting all the schooling done- it is a challenge, isn't it? So nice though to be able to take when it suits you. :)
Look forward to a post when you get home!
Saminda.
Have a wonderful holiday! I can vouch that the weather will be nice. :> Nary, a cloud in sight.
I bet your family will be very keen to see you and the kids, as will you.
I saw Kylie yesterday and she mentioned her holiday plans for ? next month. How good is that!
Beautiful pictures of your home and family. I bet Grandma had a good time.
We would love to see you if you have the time, but fully understand that family comes first.
Enjoy!
